Welcome to Animal Angel Rescue,

I started Animal Angel in the late 80's. I knew each animal that I rescued was in serious danger, either of dying from the vicious people that had hurt it or, if handed in to a pound and not claimed that they would get euthanized.

Most of the animals I have rescued have been abused, strays, or unwanted litters, even wildlife or in fact pets on death row from pounds. I have always had animals in my heart from the day I was brought into this world.

We have now as of 2010 rescued over 314 dogs and cats, as well as other animals, birds, possums, etc.

I won runner up to the Nescafe big break challenge, though I didn't get the 1st place I got a lot of recognition, (For my plan to start a no kill animal shelter called "Animal Angel Rescue" I also was awarded runner up 2002 volunteer of the year by Steve Brack's for my constant animal rescues and the devotion I put into the local community's strays.

I've worked an a many shelters, around Melbourne and also have contacts everywhere so if your ever stuck or needing help, do let me know I will always try to help you.

We are dubbed the 'unofficial RSPCA (not affiliated with them though)  type organization of Brimbank and or Melton (Melbourne, Australia) ... we will help anyone at anytime in anyway we can. My main tips are to always keep your cats indoors or invest in a cattery or cat proof fence. Always have collars on your pets, even on purely indoor pets just in case one gets out accidently. I cant stress enough to everyone not to EVER let a cat out. Also desexing.. this is for BOTH males and female cats and dogs....  Some people think if they own a boy pet that its fine because that boy wont bring home a litter of pups or kitties but fact is they will be out there somewhere maybe going feral and unloved, maybe being hurt and or very ill.
